A 1981 graduate of Colbert High School, Mrs. Bowler started her career in Early Childhood Development and Small Business Management. Alongside her Mother, they owned and operated a child care center in her hometown of Colbert, Oklahoma. In 1991, Mrs. Bowler’s Father became the first Transportation Director for Colbert Public Schools and by 1995 he had talked her into becoming a substitute driver for him, very soon she was driving full time. Mrs. Bowler discovered her true love in those big yellow buses. She was hired as Transportation Director in 2012 after the retirement of her Dad.
Mrs. Bowler married her husband, Jimmy, in 1986 and together they have raised three wonderful children and are now the proud grandparents of three grandchildren. She has served on the OAPT Board since 2008 as Vendor Director, Southeast Director, and President. Mrs. Bowler has dedicated the past 26 years to the safe and reliable transportation of students across the state. Her values are strong in her Family, Community, Education, and the public school Transportation Industry.
